Invited by Maryn Azoff and Patrick Surdam, I will share my experience on harmonies in music. In practical exercises and reflections, harmonies emerge through empathy. In group and solo work we will devote ourselves to tonality and atonality in harmony with the elements.
This retreat focuses on how we choose to express ourselves in all the ways we use our voice. Designed to challenge participants to step out of their comfort zones by employing various techniques to allow them to access new ways of authentic self-expression. This happens through group and individual improvisation, movement practice, songwriting exercises and solo performance. This retreat is a continuation of the foundational approach to Vocal Transformation by Maryn Azoff, in that it incorporates the healing element of the work, but it places a heavy emphasis on accessing the creativity inherent all people to go deeper into their healing.
Just as with the Foundations retreat, no previous singing experience is required and if you are already a singer/performer this retreat will help you to open up more fully to your potential as a creative person. You will never look at your voice the same way again.
